Stanchester Year 9 pupils were given the opportunity to take part in the Army run STEM workshop. A nationwide programme, it allows students to develop STEM skills in programming, maths, technology and engineering. Life skills in teamwork, leadership, critical thinking and perseverance. It also educates students in careers in the Army’s engineers, medics and logisticians.
Students learnt how to build, programme and operate a LEGO mind-storm robot. They then used their skills to undertake a series of engineering and logistical challenges whilst working as a team. BritishArmy #ArmySTEM
Open Evening for transition students. Departments organised various activities and displays for students to watch and take part in. Members of staff were on hand to answer any questions.
Our Year 11 enjoyed their last day which was very emotional. Good luck Class of 2021, we wish you all the very best in your future journeys.
Stanchester Academy Edge students hosted a Science Fair in the schools Science Department. Students were on hand to perform various experiments and discuss their displays to visitors.
Our school production for 2019-20 was Mary Poppins. Students excelled themselves in their roles in acting, music and behind the scenes. It was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience over three nights.
