Parent Update 4 December

4 December 2020

Dear Parent

Parent Update

As we do every week, the Senior Leadership Team and the Heads of Year have spent time this week visiting lessons throughout the day and we continue to be impressed by the behaviour, effort and respect shown by our students. Year 11 in particular are demonstrating excellent commitment to their learning as they have begun their Raising Attainment programme this week.

I am grateful for the feedback we have received on a number of school matters over the past few weeks. All feedback we receive is incredibly important to us and helps us continue to improve the school for all members of the community. As a Trust and School Leadership Team, we are keen to gain a broader picture of your views. Therefore we have opened an online survey with the range of questions, including those used by OFSTED to gather families’ comments. The survey will close on Friday 11 December 2020.

Please follow this link to complete the survey:

In response to the consultation on the term dates for next academic year, we have agreed dates based on the majority of responses (70%). Please click here to view the agreed term dates for 2021-22.

Please also click here to view a separate letter about the new MeTwo support app that we have created. This is a brilliant new support app that has been designed especially for Stanchester students by Mrs Glentworth and members of the pastoral team alongside MeTwo Education Ltd. It gives key information about the support services and resources available at Stanchester and within the local area and also offers students the opportunity to talk to a professional in a safe way.

Finally, our scheduled Parent Events in the Spring Term will be held virtually. Details of this will be sent to you including how to book appointments with teachers using our online platform.

Yours sincerely

Ms T Grainger

Acting Headteacher
