Advice to All Families – Positive COVID case

Dear Parent

We have been made aware that we have an additional confirmed positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) at Stanchester Academy in Year 7.

All three students who have reported positive Lateral Flow Tests have now had confirmed positive PCR tests.

We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England. The children who have been in close contact with the individuals who have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have received a letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 10 days.

The school remains open for any students not identified as a close contact and your child should continue to attend as normal if they remain well. It is important that you monitor any possible symptoms of this virus at home and that we remain vigilant in following the hygiene and distancing routines in school.

Please ensure your child continues to use the Lateral Flow Tests twice a week and report any positive results via email: with your child’s name, tutor group and a contact number.

If you have any concerns, please contact the school office.

Yours sincerely

Miss E Forward
